After spending 6 years with Townsview Estates (Anglo American Properties) in property management, Michael embarked on his career in the residential property industry and in 1975 joined Schachat Cullum (Pty) Ltd, who were arguably South Africa’s largest home building company during the 1960’s to the late 1990’s.
 

The company was a wholly owned subsidiary in the Sage Group of companies.  Starting out as a branch accountant, Michael grew through the ranks of the organisation, being appointed Managing Director in the mid 1980’s. During the 23 years spent with the company Michael managed every aspect of home building and residential property development and sales.​

In 1998, Michael was appointed an Executive Director of Sage Properties (Pty) Ltd.  In addition to residential property development, he managed the CBD Property Fund a listed property trust, as well as the Sage Group property portfolio.

In 2002, after spending 27 years in the corporate world, Michael left  the organization and joined Wray Harris (Pty) Ltd as Managing Director. The core business of the company was the construction of architect designed and individually specified homes ranging in size from 400m2 to 1600m2. Apart from the home building contracting side of the business, under Michael's guidance the company developed cluster house complexes in various areas, but mainly in Bryanston and Sandown.

Michael embarked on his own business venture In July 2009, and formed Arch Construction and Real Estate CC.  A service embracing every aspect of property development, marketing, management and sales is offered. Consider Arch as your intellectual capital.
